Happy Human is a life-long project I started in 2018. It started with one sweater. Every one since gets its own four-digit number, printed on the back by me. Once a number is yours, it’s never printed again. The + and − are life: we all go through good and bad, and we keep living.

01One of one
In a world of automated everything, this is my way of breaking the mold. You check a number. If it’s free, it’s yours, for good. Nobody else gets it. 0033 is mine.
02The brand
A smiley coin, an imperfect +, and a pattern of + and −. Ivory, black and white. That’s it. The rough edges on the + are on purpose: those are the obstacles we get through.
03Made by hand
No warehouse. I spray the + on every box, write the number on it in marker, and print the sweater myself. Takes 7 to 10 days. Worth it.
04The box
You land on the site and a box opens. The sweater’s folded inside, the number’s on the box, and there’s a note from me. You get the unboxing before you even buy.
05The shop
Type four digits and you know right away if it’s free. It holds your number while you check out, so nobody grabs it from under you. Then I print it by hand and ship it. Keep it simple.
